Here at Teton Steel, we are not only dedicated to providing exceptional metal; we are also committed to supporting the vibrant community of South East Idaho.

One major event here in South East Idaho is the War Bonnet Round-Up Rodeo! This is Idaho’s Oldest Rodeo and is here, in our town, Idaho Falls. It has been running for over 100 years and takes place the first weekend in August each year.

We are proud sponsors of this local and historic rodeo!

Below we delve into why we believe in community support and the significance of our sponsorship. Read on to explore the values that drive our commitment to making a positive impact on the community we proudly serve.

Our Values

Teton Steel is family-owned and was founded in Idaho Springs by locals David and Cathy Smith. They saw a need in the community for custom-manufactured metal roofing and supplies – and wanted to meet that need. David and Cathy have been in Idaho Springs for over 20 years and are a big part of the community. They know that thriving communities and partnerships foster opportunities for growth and success for both individuals and businesses.

Why we support the War Bonnet Round-Up

The War Bonnet Round-Up was originally started in 1911 by locals. Today more than 450 cowboys and cowgirls compete each Aug in front of more than 15,000 rodeo fans. The City of Idaho Falls and the Parks and Recreation Department run this rodeo and maintain a relationship with the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes of Fort Hall who make the War Bonnet Round Up an important part of eastern Idaho’s culture and tradition.

Through our sponsorship, we donate our steel and siding materials to help support the Round-Up construction expansion. Our hope is that through our partnership with the rodeo, we contribute to the preservation of our community’s heritage, the economic growth of our community and fostering a strong sense of unity. At Teton Steel we believe in the power of community support and the positive impact it has on our region!
